NFR Riding School
The NFR Riding School is where Beginners and Intermediate riders start. Riding School is held on Sundays at 1pm at Nature Fun Ranch, Bruce Vale, St. Andrew. Additional classes are done in the vacation and free days. Riders learn the basics of riding, the gaits of walking, trotting and cantering. They also learn balance, proper seat, rein work, good hands, posture and feet.
Riders who are interested in becoming Jockeys, learn how to walk and rise and trot in Beginners Class. After they have mastered that, they move into Intermediate Class where they trot and learn to master the slow and steady canter. To graduate to the Jockey Academy, Intermediate riders have to pass a riding test.
